The Germans and Swiss have this thing about neatly stacked firewood (and also their forests are mostly clean of the downfall (and forest fire fuel) of US forests).
This points to the spiritual way, a series of stops developed by the Abby along the trails for spiritual refection.
Mountain bikers are everywhere. At the bottom of the hill (actually near where you start up the road to the Abby) there is a funicular (originally built in the mid 19th century) up to the top the hill to a view point, but I also noticed mountain bikers with downhill bikes and gear lining up to ride the funicular.
