The Abby

These are some pictures of the Abby from the outside and the grounds. In addition to the Abby there are some barns and other out buildings as well as a house, that is the oldest residence in Nuechatel.













Note the tower on the left and the two windows just to the right of that tower. That is our room, which opens out upon that little deck, which offers a great view of Nuechatel, the lake and even the Alps in the far distance.








This is the tower that is part of our room. Note the old "look-out" hole (the "t") for guns and arrows.


The Abby is (and always has been) fed by a spring. This is the old Spring house. Actually, it now gets municipal water (and water from the spring is now too polluted to drink).
