Late November it not exactly the best time to show off your garden, but nonetheless this is a place for a serious gardener (and, since some of the garden boxes are of stone (and weathered), it probably has been for centuries). There is an "organic" farm next to the Abby and I think the family that runs that farm may also do most of the gardening here. Here is the little gate leading to the largest garden area (there are several around the Abby grounds)

I think the "mom" and the kids are from the "organic" farm next to the Abby. The kids are sort of helping their mom harvest broccoli

The Abby also has a little store. Nothing going on while we were there, but I understand a busy place in the summer time. I also think the farm has a deal where it supplies 30-40 local homes with vegetables weekly.
