What does “spay” mean? (Jewels)

Hey, do any of you guys in blogosphere know what “spaying” means?

The Mom took me by the vet for a checkup. The vet said I’m absolutely perfect (which of course is plainly evident to everyone), but also said something about coming back to get “spayed.”

Because of the way he said it I think it is a special reward for having 10 pups by a c-section and, what’s more, since he said something about an “Elizabethan collar”

As you of course know, Queen Elizabeth of England has corgis. This must mean I'll be getting a new collar as a prize for having 10 puppies with a c-section. So I’m pretty excited about the prospect getting a fancy new collar like what the Queen’s royal corgis’ wear to replace this old “common” green thing I have.  I told Roderick about this, but he just rolled over on his back laughing. But what does an old male yellow lab know about royal dog fashion accessories anyway?
