Caleb and Annika at Lakeside near Arvada, CO the day before Daniel and Sydnee's wedding (Annika clearly had the prettiest dress in the park, which was her idea.) Historical note: When we lived in Colorado in the 1980s we took Alisa and Andy to this same amusement park and many of the same rides).
David and Mary and the creek behind the house in Dillon, CO (the trick was to get a stick to float down through the rapids)
Roderick and Jewells taking David and Mary on their regular morning walk at Twin Coves in Flower Mound
No explanation required - the original "Lewisville" store. (Daniel knows the place)
So how hard can it be to get the traditional picture with the bear on Main Street in Park City with Grandma Evie, Caleb and Annika?
Caleb and Andy at Canyons in Park City - your move Dad!
Yes, Caleb hiked all the way to the Flag at the top of Eckers Hil. Actually, he started out thinking he was only going up to the tree house on the side of the mountain, but it was such a nice evening we just kept hiking and before he knew it (or thought to complain) we were at the top.
On the grass at Canyons on a beautiful summer evening listening to music with ice cones, another Hyer tradition - life is great (the band was White Buffalo - OK, but that really wasn't the point).
At the Park City recreation center
I think that is Caleb's head just above the water at the bottom of the pool slide
This is Annika and Grandma Evie at the end of the Alpine Slide at the Park City ski resort. Unfortunately no pictures of Grandma Mike and Caleb, but we went screaming down the course (no brakes), which was nice since we also went on the Alpine Slide at the Park City Olympic Park and got stuck behind a lady going rather slow. (Her teenage daughter had gone down ahead of her and was waiting at the bottom and I nevertheless had a little compassion for poor lady as she got thoroughly (and publicly) ripped by her daughter for being so slow.)
This is the Alpine Coaster at Park City Resort. For those familiar with the Breckenridge coaster, the Party City one is longer and hence faster. You control your speed with foot pedal brakes, although they say that because of the way the coaster is connected to the track you really can't go off the track. Caleb and I pretty much proved the point - absolutely brake free all the way down - it was fast and a few "g" so on the curves.
